Snowing in Brum
Tonight we looked out the window and it was snowing. Its absolutely great and the whole street is white and cold and snowing.
Our Fireplace
We have a fireplace in our house but it is very small and we never thought we would use it. Today we bought some firelogs from the supermarket and tried them out and everything works great. The logs burn well and there is no smoke building up inside. Our little room is very warm now while its 4 degrees and raining outside.

KristMarkt Birmingham
Today we went and visited the christmas market in Birmingham, the largest outside of Austria and Germany. We had some Sausages and Beer and Gluhwein, pretzel and corinne had a mohrenkopf - some chocolate and marshmallow thing.
They were pretty good but too many people and too many owners of prams without brains.
Overall though an enjoyable experience.

Kite Flying in Warley Woods
Today we went to fly our kite in Warley Woods as it was a windy day. The kite was a real bargain purchase from LIDL and was on 3£. The kite has no control though and crashed a lot and subsequently broke quite quickly. We did manage probably 20 minutes flight time though before we packed up the shattered kite. Next time we will get a box kite as i think they are more stable.

Isle of Wight Zoo
Here are some pics of the animals at the Isle’s zoo. The cages are not that big but you end up being very close to the animals. Most of the animals are there because they were hand raised or had problems and could not be released.

The Isle of Wight
On the weekend we went down to the Isle of Wight which is south of Portsmouth. We went to visit our friends, Liv and Downy, and have a belated engagement celebration as well set off some fireworks for Guy Fawkes.
We caught the car ferry over and on the way saw the hovercraft which operates in the area too.
